Fairies do exist!
A poem of my little girl dreams
The dewdrops become little beacons of light
In the early morning sun creeping over the mountains
Dark deep blue sky with fading stars on one side
Pink golden with fluffy white clouds on the other
A rooster crows in the distance
The world is waking up as she hides in the shrubs
Waiting to catch a glimpse of the fairies
If only they don’t see her today
For the past week, they have known she was there
And not once have shown themselves.
She holds her breath as a sound rustles
Next to her
Oh goodness is she going to see them?
Is her dream going to become real?
She holds her tiny hands tight together
Scrunches her eyes closed and pray
Please please please I will be a good girl forever
If only I could see them, just once
She knew fairies existed in the garden
All her books tell her so
A small little light suddenly pops to life
In front of her delighted face
Small little blue and purple wings buzz
And a dinky face smile impishly
Just as suddenly it was gone
She falls down
On the grass, giggling
Looking up at the sky she hugs herself
Fairies do exist!!!!

Beautiful!!
How lovely is this? It does take me back to childhood, when I believed in fairies and nymphs and angels (okay, I still believe in angels - don't well all!?). Loved this.
