Goddess Lachesis
One of the Three Fates
What did you see in my soul, Goddess Lachesis
To influence your weaving of my destiny
Sitting in the heavens with your sisters
Clotho and Atropos, deciding my mortal fate
By spinning the fabric of life itself
Flickering signs of madness
When you granted me this incarnation
Your sister spun the threads of every path
My spirit bled the crimson dyed in every piece of cloth
Fate called forth my human experience
Decided by your fickle kin, sheared and cut
What lies did you spin to make me choose this life
My soul was delusional, lyrical to bid your wishes
When you breathed life into my earthly body
You already knew my path from birth to fated death
Namaste

It reminds me of someone singing to themselves, knowing the gods can hear. Knowing she knows that they know, that she knows.
wonderfully spun. and this twist: "What lies did you spin to make me choose this life”
love it!
