It’s not always what you see that’s true.
You may see a drowning girl
But she may be saving someone else
You may see a joyful face
But she may be drowning in pain
What you see may not be true
You may see a disaster
Where a miracle is taking place
You may think someone is lost
While they are hoping to be found
Our eyes deceive us
When we know what we want to see
Not what is painfully there
Yearning to be seen
