The Tilting Cabin
An ekphrastic poem.
The tilting cabin sits snuggled in the woods
A winding path illuminated by glowing wildflowers
Leads straight to the purple-pink front door
The trees lean close, always watching
While fireflies congregate in the branches
Radiant colors dancing in a mesmerizing show
The moon bears witness to their fleeting existence
Ancient wisdom glows with kind benevolence
A radiant and constant presence
Warm windows invite the weary traveler
Magic awaits the unsuspecting visitors
Nobody leaves untouched
