We Grow Partially
Never absolutely...
“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”
― Anais Nin
We grow in different dimensions All at once and stunted in others Stars explode in our constellations Our building blocks uneven Layers exposing intricate cells We are pulled forward and back By events shaping our being Different realms grow in strength While others hide in secret Past and future entangled In a dance of expansion And contraction to relativity We never grow absolutely Child and adult coexist In our never-ending evolution

So very true. Took me a few reads. I wanted to feel the words. Beautiful Rea.
Growth is a beautiful dance. Loved your poem Rea.
