Words become magical
When strung together 
They have the power to create
And painfully destroy

When artfully placed
It can create a brilliant 
New landscape of emotions
Never before explored

Words are spells cast
That capture and enchant
Mesmerize fertile imaginations
Catapult us into other worlds

They can move the spirit
Alter the perception
Of the state of being 
Reveal secrets of the soul

Words can create euphoria
And deep longing
As well as agony 
And soul-destroying suffering

They have the power
To heal and restore
May we always choose
To create with beauty
