Absolutely haunting and beautiful, Rea. The intensity of your yearning pulses through every line—like the words themselves are breathless with desire. There's a raw vulnerability here, wrapped in poetic sensuality. The metaphor of the violin especially struck me—tender, intimate, and utterly human. This piece doesn’t just speak; it aches. Stunning work.
As the word "Namaste" is spoken, it carries the weight of ancient wisdom, a reminder that the divine in me greets the divine in you. It is a call to remember the sacred within, to honour the light that shines bright in every soul. In this simple yet profound gesture, we are reminded of our shared humanity, our interconnectedness, and the eternal dance of love and respect that binds us all.

"This draft waited impatiently to be read". This, though not part of the poem, speaks volumes and I think may be the most perfect introduction to a piece I've ever seen. Something beyond my ability to describe at the moment. Excellent, passionate, free. And like a deep breath after holding one's breath for too long. Bravo, Rea.
I love it. To me it seems the author not only reveals her own desires but also invites her lover to make real theirs. Each to own and be owned, and yet not necessarily separately but simultaneously.
I think you gave voice to what many feel and desire; and that brings them comfort knowing they are not alone or craven but instead healthy, alive and human. So well done and so happy to see you sharing this aspect of your talented and moving writings.

When you are in that sacred place in you, and I am in that sacred place in me, we are one. Thank you Matthew. We are all searching and here we meet. 🙏
It warms my heart Matthew! Every last one of them are gorgeous. Thank you. 🙏
Oooh I needed to hear what I’m feeling before i can even put it on the page.
I’ve met someone new and the addiction, this limerence is haunting me.
Gnawing at my flesh.
Terrified of it.
I’ve been stable not wanting or thinking about anyone for a long time. Yet here I am again, and fell upon your note.
Damn it. Here it comes… up and out of the grave. Just when I thought the feeling was dead. 💀
I know what you mean. Let it free, write those haunting words!
Wow, powerful and beautiful!
Thank you Andrew.
Even by your usual exceptional standards, this is something very special. Loved this.
Thank you. 💞
Very beautiful.
Thank you Nancy. I appreciate you reading and commenting. 💞

Thank you Joe! You led me with your wise words. Abandon the shackles and surrender. 🩶
Well now! Even I am blushing and I was a sailor.
