In your quest for beauty
You turned against Mother Nature
You turned your back
On her bounty
Given freely, undeserving
Without expectation
Destroying her beauty
For your unholy desires
You hold a mirage in your hands
Of an illusion you created
Defending your greed
For immortality
Blind and overcome with
Lusting after forever youth
Draining the life-giving Mother
When you admire the grotesque
Creation in your mirror
You call beauty
While around you, Mother Nature
is hemorrhaging into extinction
Namaste

Having never been one of the "beautiful people" and having lived long enough to watch some people that were beautiful when young, and fought against the natural order with surgery, fillers, etc., only to ruin themselves. I've come to appreciate my aging face and body, my gray hair and my natural process as well as to appreciate the same natural beauty in others. We can be beautiful as Nature intended. It's all a matter of perspective. This was a wonderful piece Rea!
