My soulmate was born in 1883 in Bsharri We missed each other by a few centuries In an alternate Universe, I was born a few years later We met in a dressmaker’s shop by happenstance This dark-haired man with the soulful eyes His profundity captured my imagination An enlightened master of philosophy His amazing imagination entranced me The eloquent words from his incredible mind Became my well-thumbed vade mecum Across centuries, I silently adored him Our souls must have had celestial rendezvous’
This reads like a love letter whispered across time—so tender and full of quiet awe. I could almost see you meeting in that little dressmaker’s shop, fate brushing past like silk. There’s such a lovely ache in how you captured that timeless connection~
I can't remember if I told you before that one of my closest friends has an ancestor (Claude Bragdon) who was a dear dear friend of Gibran's. They were both devoted abolitionists as I'm sure you know. They were so close that Claude was often quoted on Gibran's covers, singing his praises. Isn't that amazing?!?! <3 Claude's legacy of compassion and activism are alive and well in my friend. He lives on, as does Gibran in the light of people like you!
I was just looking at a copy of ”The Profet” on my desk when this post found me…! The synchronicities sometimes…!! 🔮✨
Magical!
Truly! ✨ Love your words! 💖
Thank you! 💫

Many years ago a good friend bought me The Prophet! Like the analogy you created here between you and Gibran. Special bond!
The Prophet is profound. Thank you!
Definitely! I went back to read it again after many years but it wasn’t as magical.
An amazing poet
Thank you.
What a beautiful composition, Rea.

That's amazing, Stephanie! How small the world is! I wish I was born in that era. Gibran will live forever. Thank you for sharing this with me!
Yes!!! I am in the heart of God beside you.
