Totally agree with you Rea! My first best friend has to be myself ( working on this) and just have a couple of real best friends, I cherish them and trust them with my life ❤️

That's why solitude is so precious. It can reveal some answers to hard questions like these, if you dare to ask yourself. It's also a great way to find a true friend, and that friend is youself! Loved the topic and the writing! 🤍

This is well written. I was stuck with a friend who always used to put my confidence down and belittle me in a group, but never used to take it back when I do it to him. It took time for me to realise such toxicity and I had to gradually put him aside to focus on my self esteem. I wasted my first three years of my college being friends with such characters but I understood the reality now.

Lots of good points, I mean really, why have a 'friend' who isn't on the same 'wave' as you?

However, there is a distinction between work colleagues and acquaintances and privately chosen friends. Sometimes, you have to be in friendly relationships at work because your job success depends on getting along with people you might dislike. Just saying ....

Friendship isn't written about nearly enough, and it has saved my life more than once. Thank you for honoring its profound place and presence in our lives, and impact. You explored a very important aspect of friendship here that often isn't well understood or practiced. As Esther said..."wise words." <3

agree. Real and genuine friendships that are good for us are so hard to come by, so when we do find someone we need to cherish them
